We are looking for a Pro Late Model Tire Specialist to join our team and ensure optimal tire performance for our Pro Late Model race cars.
Job Summary:
The Pro Late Model Tire Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of tire preparation, maintenance, and performance analysis for our Pro Late Model race teams. This role requires a deep understanding of tire compounds, tire wear, and how tires interact with track conditions to deliver optimal performance. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in tire technology and have a passion for motorsports and racing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tire Selection & Strategy: Analyze track conditions, weather, and race requirements to determine the most appropriate tire choice for each event, including tire compound and specifications.
 - Tire Preparation & Maintenance: Oversee the preparation of tires, including mounting, and stretching to ensure peak performance. Maintain an inventory of tires and manage the tire allocation for each race.
 - Performance Monitoring: Monitor tire performance during practice, qualifying, and race events. Evaluate tire wear, temperature, stagger and pressure to optimize performance throughout race sessions.
 - Data Analysis: Collaborate with engineers and team members to analyze tire performance data and recommend adjustments to tire pressures, setups, or strategies based on real-time results.
 - Post-Race Evaluation: Assess tire conditions after each race to identify wear patterns and potential improvements. Provide feedback and reports to the team to inform future tire strategies.
 - Tire Technology & Trends: Stay updated on the latest tire technologies, trends, and developments in the racing industry. Continuously explore new solutions to improve tire performance and durability.
 - Safety & Compliance: Ensure all tires are used in compliance with racing regulations and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of tire conditions to ensure safety throughout each event.
 - Collaboration with Crew: Work closely with the race team, crew members, and engineers to develop tire-related strategies and adjustments based on race conditions and vehicle performance.
 
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years of experience working with racing tires, preferably in late model racing, stock car, or other similar motorsports.
 - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of tire performance, compounds, and how they interact with various racing surfaces. Experience with tire data analysis and optimization strategies is highly preferred.
 - Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze tire wear and performance issues and implement solutions to improve lap times, durability, and overall race results.
 - Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in managing tire selection, preparation, and tracking performance metrics.
 - Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineers, drivers, and the broader race team to implement tire strategies.
 - Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and handle tires, and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding race environment.
 - Education: A background in automotive technology, motorsports engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
 - Passion for Racing: A strong passion for motorsports, particularly late model racing, with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
 - Flexibility & Availability: Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and long race days. Travel to race events and availability for race weekend duties is required.
